5K on a hot day

Max and I trudged through a 5K last week. He was really not into it because it was so hot. Halfway through I suggested he take off his shoes and that made a big difference in his enthusiasm, but by then he was pretty tired. We did not beat his PR of <60 minutes.



Max - 468th in the male under 16 category, and not last!
Noemi - 447th in the female 40-44 category, and not last! 



He didn't get too many comments about being barefoot. The finish was inside the baseball park and we got to walk on the outfield grass and through the warning track dirt. The shirt, bobblehead and medal cheered him up.
